The variety was bred by crossing the parental forms Mexicano 252 and Jerez 37. The main purpose of the crop is the production of semolina for subsequent use in the pasta industry.

During comparative trials, the variety demonstrated yield indicators exceeding 4000 kg/ha. Available information is limited to the variety's inclusion in the collection of Spanish cereal crops undergoing state research programs.
