The variety was developed within the framework of breeding programs in Portugal by the INIAV center in Elvas. Its creation is aimed at adaptation to the conditions of the region, where there is an irregular distribution of precipitation and high thermal stress during critical periods of plant development.

The variety demonstrates stability in productivity and grain quality indicators under climatic stress, particularly in drought conditions. Information about the variety is found primarily in official trial reports and recommended variety lists.
