The variety belongs to the category of semi-dwarf plants with a shortened stem, which provides it with increased resistance to lodging. This variety is widely used in international breeding programs as a reference sample when studying genetic material, yield, and grain quality.

The grain of the variety possesses high vitreousness. In agronomic practice, Cocorit 71 is the standard for evaluating pasta quality indicators, including protein and gluten content, as well as sedimentation parameters and rheological properties of the dough. The variety demonstrates field resistance to stem rust of the 'slow-rusting' type.
