The variety is a traditional landrace that was cultivated until 1930 and has not been subjected to modern breeding or genetic modifications. The plant is characterized by a tall stem reaching a height of 137–139 cm, which is typical for old varieties grown before the period of intensive breeding.

The variety possesses specific biochemical characteristics of glutenin proteins, which determines its use in pasta production and baking. Compared to modern commercial hybrids, the variety has a lower yield and potentially lower lodging resistance due to its height.
