The variety is classified as spring wheat, although in a number of regulatory documents on plant variety rights, it is mentioned in lists alongside winter forms. Genetic studies have established that the variety carries the dominant allele Ppd-A1a.3, which is responsible for photoperiod sensitivity.

Grain quality is characterized by an average protein content of 12–14.5%. The variety is a food crop intended for the production of pasta, cereals, and use in the baking industry.
