The variety was obtained by crossing the San Carlo and DL varieties. The plant reaches a height of 95 cm and belongs to the mid-early maturity group with a characteristic tendency for early heading.

Minosse demonstrates high resistance to lodging and diseases, including powdery mildew, brown rust, and yellow rust. The grain is distinguished by a high protein content and a high “yellow index,” which determines its suitability for the pasta industry.
