Variety description

The variety is short-statured, plant height is 65–80 cm, stem is strong. The spike is pyramidal in shape, of high density, belongs to the melanopus variety. The maximum recorded yield is 8.01 t/ha.

The plant has high resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought. It possesses pronounced resistance to powdery mildew, brown leaf rust, common bunt, and Fusarium head blight, and is moderately resistant to leaf septoria and root rots.

Thousand kernel weight is 42.5–51.5 g, test weight is 784–831 g/l. Vitreousness reaches 97–98%, gluten content is 33.0–36.0%, protein content is 15.1–15.4%. The grain is suitable for use in the pasta and confectionery industry.

The variety was created through intraspecific and interspecific hybridization. Recommended for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones.
