The variety was developed at the Dobrudzha Agricultural Institute in Bulgaria. It is a winter form of durum wheat, characterized by a high content of vitreous protein and high-quality gluten.

This variety is used in breeding research for the comparative assessment of yield and technological grain indicators. The variety's produce is intended for processing into flour for the pasta industry and semolina.
