The variety was obtained by the method of line selection from the hybrid population "Kharkivska 23 yarova / Leucurum 1963". Belongs to the variety hordeiforme. Plants have a height of 85–95 cm, a red glabrous, awned, prism-shaped spike 8–9 cm long, and large amber-colored grain with a thousand kernel weight of 45–53 g.

The variety possesses high resistance to lodging, various types of smut, and septoria, with moderate susceptibility to fusarium. Potential yield is 10.5–11.5 t/ha. Grain test weight varies from 790 to 820 g/l, protein content is 14.8–17.5%, and crude gluten is 34–38%.
