The variety belongs to the mid-early maturity group and is characterized by a short stem. It possesses high winter hardiness and the best lodging resistance among winter durum wheats. It is intended for cultivation in intensive conditions on fertile soils and is adapted to regions with a risk of spring drought.
The plant exhibits pronounced tolerance to powdery mildew and good resistance to wheat dwarf virus. Resistance to Fusarium head blight and leaf spots is rated as medium; susceptibility to brown rust is slightly increased.
