The Zenit variety is an early-maturing winter wheat type under Mediterranean conditions. Plants reach a height of 92–100 cm, the thousand kernel weight is 36–39 g.

This variety was used in breeding as a significant genetic source, in particular, it was involved in the development of the Svevo variety. It was studied for susceptibility to Fusarium head blight.

Intended for the needs of the food industry, in particular, for the production of pasta due to high grain vitreousness and protein content.
