The variety has the pedigree CAPPELLI/ANHINGA/4/YAKTANA-54//(SEL.) and is characterized as a semi-dwarf genotype. In the food industry, it was intended for the production of pasta.

In comparative scientific studies, the variety is noted for its specific gliadin composition (γ-42 gliadin) and lower technological gluten quality indicators compared to a number of other Italian varieties.
