The variety belongs to the Darwin hybrid class and is a mutation (sport) of the Van Eijk variety. The plant is characterized by a deep red flower color and medium peduncle height.

This variety belongs to the mid-season flowering tulip group. The plants possess strength and resistance to weather conditions, making them suitable for use in open field and as cut flowers. Cultivation by the 9 °C cooling method is possible, however, forcing in water is not recommended.
