The Pioneer bush reaches a height of 1.5–1.8 meters. The bush habit is broadly spreading, dense and compact, with straight and rigid branches. The leaves are oval-shaped and about 5 cm long.

The variety belongs to the early or early-mid maturity group, with berries starting to ripen from the end of July. Yield is up to 5–7 kg per plant.

The berries have a diameter of 12–15 mm, are firm, dark blue in color, characterized by a distinct aroma and good transportability, although they are prone to cracking. The variety has good winter hardiness but is sensitive to spring frosts during the flowering period.
