The plant is an evergreen low-growing shrub with small leathery elliptical dark green leaves. The flowers are small, bell-shaped, white or light pink in hue, and are gathered in drooping racemes.
The variety is late-summer, with fruits ripening in August–September, while a second harvest is possible in the autumn. The berries are large and round with firm skin. The plant possesses high winter hardiness (USDA zone 3) and is resistant to diseases.
Successful cultivation requires acidic, loose, and well-drained soils with a pH of 3.5–5.5. The variety is sensitive to soil drying and does not tolerate liming. For cross-pollination, it is recommended to plant several varieties in the same plot.
