The plant is a compact evergreen shrub with upright stems and moderate branching. Leaves are elliptical, glossy, dark green in color, and may acquire a burgundy hue in autumn and winter. Flowering is prolonged; flowers are bell-shaped, white with a pink tint, and gathered in drooping inflorescences.
A mid-season ripening variety, it forms rounded, shiny, dark purple-red berries with a sweet and sour taste. The plant is resistant to lodging, diseases, and frosts down to -35 °C. The variety is self-fertile, however, cross-pollination contributes to an increase in yield.
Used as a ground cover crop in landscape design for borders, mass plantings, rock gardens, and container cultivation. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and various types of culinary processing.
