The variety is the result of interspecific hybridization of Vaccinium corymbosum, Vaccinium angustifolium, and Vaccinium uliginosum. The genetic formula includes the Rancocas and Augusta lines. The plant forms a compact, dense, and stocky bush, reaching a height of about 70 cm and a width of up to 1 meter.

Berry ripening begins in August and lasts 2–3 weeks. The fruits are large, dark blue, with a dry matter content of about 13.2%. The variety is characterized by extreme frost resistance, withstanding temperatures down to -30...-40 °C, resistance to diseases and pests, as well as high yield.

The plant is suitable for container cultivation. For maximum yield, cross-pollination is recommended; the variety Alvar is suitable as a partner.
