RIDLEY WILLIAM BELL
10 August 2026
The bush is compact, dense, and spreading, classified as half-high. Height is usually 100–120 cm, reaching up to 1.5–1.8 m under optimal conditions. Shoots are erect, vigorous, and flexible. Leaves are glossy, bright green, turning orange-red in autumn.
The variety is mid-early; fruiting begins in mid-July. Berries are firm, light blue with a waxy bloom, 1.4–1.6 cm in diameter, possessing a sweet taste with a hint of acidity. Yield is 4–5 kg per bush, with good care — up to 8–9 kg. The variety is self-fertile and resistant to frosts down to –34...–37 °C.
Used for fresh consumption, all types of processing, and landscape design. Suitable for commercial plantings with mechanized harvesting and U-pick systems. Requires regular pruning to prevent crown overcrowding.
