The plant is a dense shrub with a rounded crown shape and dark green lanceolate leaves. In summer, the variety forms dense raceme-like inflorescences of a purple-blue shade.

The plant belongs to the group of shrubby veronicas, which were previously classified in the genus Hebe. The variety is ornamental, requires a large amount of sunlight and well-drained soil, while it poorly tolerates shading, waterlogging, and extreme cold.
