The variety has a semi-erect growth habit and forms a dense canopy that suppresses weeds. The period to flowering is about 126 days. The main distinction is increased soft-seededness, reaching 80–90%, which minimizes the problem of unwanted seedlings in crop rotation.
The plant possesses moderate drought tolerance and resistance to leaf spot, rust, and Ascochyta. It adapts well to various soil types, preferably light ones, while not tolerating waterlogging. The variety is valued for high green mass productivity and protein content.
Used for pasture grazing, hay production, and silage. The grain is not intended for livestock feed due to the presence of anti-nutritional factors. Pasture use is limited to the period from the 10-node stage to the onset of pod formation.
