The variety is of Spanish origin and is the result of a natural crossing of the Hebén and Brustiano Faux varieties. The vines are medium-vigorous, and the variety is characterized by late bud break and a late ripening period.

Bunches are large, and density varies from loose to compact. The berries are medium-sized with thick skins and juicy pulp. The variety is drought-tolerant, but is susceptible to downy mildew, gray mold, and is sensitive to wind and mites.

To obtain high-quality wine, yield control is required; the variety is suitable for mechanical harvesting. Wines made from it are characterized by fruity aromas and are capable of long aging, including in oak barrels.
