The variety is the result of crossing Hamburg and Muscat of Alexandria. The vines are characterized by medium vigor, which can be above average on fertile soils. Clusters are medium to large, weighing 200–350 g, conical or cylindrical-conical in shape, and medium-dense or loose.

Berries are large, round or oval, violet-blue in color with a thick waxy bloom and firm skin. The flesh is fleshy and juicy. Under unfavorable flowering conditions, flower drop and berry shriveling (millerandage) may occur.

The variety has low resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, grey mold, bacterial cancer, and phylloxera. It is characterized by insufficient winter hardiness and requires mandatory covering of the vines in regions with cold climates.
