The variety is an ancient indigenous vine from central Italy. The plant is characterized by high vigor, good disease resistance, and frost resistance within -15...-18°C. The leaf is medium-sized, pentagonal, and five-lobed.
Bunches are medium to large, conical or pyramidal in shape, and of moderate density. Berries are medium-sized, round, golden-yellow, with a thick, dense skin and a distinct bloom.
Wines from this variety are characterized by high acidity and notes of apple, pear, citrus, as well as floral and herbaceous nuances. The variety is used to create dry, sparkling, and dessert wines.
