The variety has medium-vigor vines. Leaves are medium-sized, wedge-shaped, five-lobed, moderately or deeply incised, with a completely closed petiolar sinus and slight pubescence on the underside. The flower is hermaphroditic.
The bunch is medium-sized, conical, often winged, dense or medium-dense. Berries are medium-sized, round, dark blue, covered with a thick waxy bloom; the skin is medium-thick or thick.
The variety is distinguished by high and stable yields. It is resistant to powdery mildew but susceptible to downy mildew. Genetically, it is the result of a natural cross between the Maccabeo and Mourvèdre varieties.
