The LH 51 line is genetically 97% identical to the Mo17 inbred line and was developed as a result of a backcrossing program. It belongs to the Non-Stiff Stalk (NSS) heterotic group and has historically been used in breeding programs as a parental form.
In agronomic publications, the line often serves as a comparison object in studies on nitrogen use efficiency or resistance to pathogens, including Fusarium graminearum. The variety is not intended for direct commercial sowing.
