Rooting is carried out in a light substrate with the addition of perlite or sand, ensuring high air humidity under film or a plastic dome at a temperature of about 18°C. Cuttings require protection from direct sunlight and benefit from diffused lighting. Although this crop roots easily, an alternative and simpler method for obtaining mature specimens of this hybrid is division of the clump.
