Phleum pratense L.
The productivity of Timothy-grass is divided into forage productivity, measured by the yield of green mass or dry matter (4–8 t/ha), and seed productivity, determined by seed yield per unit area (from 0.5 to 1 t/ha).

The forage productivity of Timothy-grass is evaluated through the mass of dry matter or green mass, as well as through the content of metabolizable energy and nutrients. Hay yield varies from 4–4.5 t/ha in upland meadows to 6–8 t/ha in drained marshes.
Seed productivity is determined by the yield of seeds per unit area. Under production conditions, seed yield is 480–530 kg/ha, while with advanced agronomic practices, the indicator reaches 1 t/ha. In breeding programs, accessions that exceed the standard in seed productivity by 7–30% are considered promising.
