Important indicators also include the preservation of marketable appearance after harvest and the plant's ability to form a full-fledged rosette under specific growing conditions, whether in soil or hydroponics.
A high marketability index is the primary criterion for the economic utility of a variety, ensuring production profitability. For market supply, varieties with uniform onset of commercial maturity and a prolonged period of shelf life are critically important, as this allows for the maintenance of stable conveyor-belt production.
