A characteristic of plant homogeneity within a variety or hybrid regarding morphological traits, such as size, shape, and head density, as well as the synchronicity of their maturation.

For red cabbage, uniformity is a key parameter when conducting variety trials according to DUS testing protocols. Assessment is carried out by analyzing the statistical distribution of head weight and diameter, as well as the degree of conformity to the plant morphotype in trial plots.

High uniformity enables efficient single-pass mechanized harvesting. A low score, characterized by variation in maturation dates or physical parameters of the heads, significantly increases labor costs, making it impossible to harvest all marketable produce in a single machinery pass.
