Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 71–81 cm and forms a dense rounded bush. The foliage is fragrant, deep green in color, with a burgundy hue of young shoots in spring. Inflorescences are spike-shaped, consisting of small tubular flowers of a pinkish-purple shade. Burgundy sepals retain their decorative appearance after the flowers fade until autumn.

The variety prefers full sun exposure and well-drained soils; once established, it exhibits drought tolerance. It possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and has sturdy stems. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zones 5–9.

The plant is used in landscape design for borders, mass plantings and container gardening. It is a honey plant that attracts pollinators and is also suitable for cutting and creating dried flowers.
