The variety was bred by selecting plants of the Prominent variety followed by mass crossing with other international breeding varieties. It is a tetraploid variety (2n = 28) with a low thousand kernel weight (0.1–0.2 g). The plants have a spreading habit with light green to medium green leaves.
During the initial development period, the variety is characterized by slow growth, which requires protection against weed infestation. The crop is adapted to tolerate low mowing (3–4 mm) and is suitable for use in golf greens, fairways, as well as for ornamental lawns and landscaping of moist areas.
The variety is undemanding regarding soil type, although it prefers heavier and moister areas. Sowing is performed at a depth of 1 cm followed by rolling. Professional maintenance is required to maintain turf quality.
