The plant belongs to the multiplier onion group and is propagated vegetatively. The bulbs have a high-round shape and a size of about 5–6 cm. The variety is considered hardy, less demanding of soil composition than common bulb onions, and adapted to the climatic conditions of northern regions.
The yield of the variety depends on moisture conditions and temperature regime during the summer period. The onion has good keeping quality, remaining stored at room temperature in a dry place for more than one year. Large bulbs are suitable for use as common bulb onions, while small ones are for preparing dishes whole.
