The bulbs have a rounded-rhombic, often somewhat irregular shape. The plant is vigorous; when planting one bulb, it forms a cluster of 8–10, and sometimes a larger number of daughter specimens per season. The variety is characterized as relatively late and may sometimes produce flower stalks, although seeds usually do not set.

The variety possesses a full-bodied taste with a characteristic aroma and is distinguished by good keeping quality, maintaining its quality for up to a year or more under proper storage conditions. Under trial conditions, it showed relative resistance to downy mildew and onion fly damage. The variety is recommended primarily for southern regions.
