The medium-sized bulb has a flat-round or rhomboid shape, reaching 8–10 cm in diameter. The outer scales are copper-purple or red-purple, the flesh is white, sometimes with a purple hue in the outer layers. The plant is characterized by dense green foliage and a relatively thick neck.
The variety is hardy, requires moderate watering, and is sensitive to excess humidity in July. The vegetation cycle is approximately 206 days; harvesting is traditionally carried out in late July and August. It is grown primarily through seedlings, which are prepared from autumn.
