The variety is an early-maturing F1 hybrid, which is referred to in a number of sources under the experimental designation DEXP 1317-1. The hybrid is adapted for cultivation in northern onion-growing regions.
The bulbs have a regular globe shape and are brown in color. A characteristic feature is the tightly adhering scales and very firm flesh, which ensures high keeping quality of the produce during storage.
