The Canterbury F1 variety belongs to mid-early or "second early" leek hybrids. The plant has a uniform appearance and does not form a bulb at the base of the stalk.
The hybrid's leaves have a dark green color. Due to the good length of the stalk, the variety is convenient for commercial packaging, which makes it suitable for sale on the fresh market and for industrial use.
