The plant forms upright green leaves. The variety is distinguished by rapid development, which makes it suitable for direct sowing in open field.

Unlike winter varieties, Carlton F1 has lower winter hardiness; therefore, it is recommended to carry out harvesting before the onset of severe frosts. The variety is intended for use as food product.
