The variety Bzenecký paličák originates from the Bzenec region in southern Moravia and is classified as a winter bolting garlic. Data on the existence of a 'Bzenecky, krajovy (jarny)' form are absent in open sources, and the inclusion of the term 'jarny' (spring) contradicts its traditional winter characteristic.

Externally, the variety is distinguished by light green leaves and white bulbs with characteristic purple spots. It belongs to the category of early-maturing varieties. Specialized studies mention the susceptibility of bolting garlic forms, including those associated with this region, to infestation by the garlic mite Aceria tulipae.
