The Allium «Globus» variety is a hybrid form originating from Allium karataviense and, presumably, Allium cristophii. The plant is characterized by moderate height and the ability to form dense inflorescences that retain their shape.

Successful cultivation requires well-drained soils ranging from moderately dry to medium, as well as sufficient light. The plant forms compact tufted bushes.
