The plant reaches a height of 30–40 cm. The variety is sensitive to day length and temperature, whereby sowing in summer months delays flowering, extending the harvesting period for greens.

The leaves possess a characteristic aroma resembling a mixture of anise and parsley. The primary use of the variety is for fresh consumption in the preparation of salads, soups, sauces, and seasonings.
