Annual plant with a height of 20 to 60 cm. The leaves are characterized by a finely curled shape. When sown from March to September, harvest is possible in 6–8 weeks, between May and October.
The plant is prone to rapid bolting during hot months, therefore cultivation in partial shade is preferred. The variety is suitable for cultivation in the open field and in pots.
The leaves have a mild, sweetish taste with a distinct anise aroma. In cooking, the variety is used for flavoring soups, salads, and sauces, preferably in fresh form, as heat treatment reduces flavor quality.
