The plant belongs to a vigorous growth type and reaches a significant height. The stalks and leaves are quite large, coarse in texture; the number of stalks per plant is lower than in the variety Amsterdamse Fijne Donkergroene. The variety is not self-blanching.

The variety is intended for spring cultivation in open field conditions. The produce is used both fresh and in the processing industry. Due to the structural features of the stalks, the variety is considered less suitable for cultivation in protected cultivation under glass.
