The variety belongs to the Pascal type group and often appears in catalogs as its synonym or a variety thereof. The plant forms a vigorous, upright leaf rosette with tightly packed petioles, which are characterized by tenderness, succulence, and a distinct aroma.

Cultivation of the variety is recommended using the seedling method. To obtain a more delicate flavor and to blanch the petioles, hilling is required. It is used in cooking for fresh consumption, as well as for preparing soups, stews, and other types of processing.
