The variety belongs to the self-blanching plant group, which allows the petioles to acquire a light color and delicate taste during growth without the need for hilling or shading. The petioles have no coarse fibers and possess high palatability.

The plant has increased resistance to premature formation of flower stalks compared to a number of other varieties. The variety is suitable for early consumption, as well as for winter storage.
