The plant forms a vigorous upright leaf rosette. The petioles reach a length of 30–40 cm and a width at the base of up to 5 cm. The variety combines the properties of leaf and root celery.
Cultivated primarily by seedling method. Agrotechnics are similar to root celery; however, due to the high content of essential oils, seeds germinate slowly and require special pre-sowing preparation.
