Waltz celery is an F1 hybrid characterized by dark color and a compact structure. The plants have even, uniform-length petioles, and their upright habit ensures convenience during harvesting and product packaging.

The variety possesses intermediate resistance to Fusarium wilt caused by the fungus Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. apii (race 2). Strong resistance to bolting is noted. The variety is intended for commercial cultivation and is included in official vegetable crop catalogs.
