The variety forms light green spears. Its key morphological feature is the complete absence of anthocyanin pigmentation, which prevents the appearance of undesirable bluish or purple tones when exposed to sunlight after the spears emerge on the soil surface.
This variety was historically used in breeding work to select forms lacking anthocyanins. The absence of pigmentation made it possible to simplify cultivation and harvesting technology, as the produce maintained its marketability longer without the need for frequent harvesting during the day.
In modern agronomic literature, the variety is more often mentioned as a historical breeding object and a standard for comparing the market quality of asparagus. Information on its widespread current commercial use is limited.
