The plant is a compact upright perennial with a height of 35 to 70 cm. The foliage is lacy, bipinnate, with a bronze-green tint in young leaves and a dark green color in mature ones. Stems and petioles have a dark anthocyanin color. Inflorescences are large, dense, rhombic in shape, and colored in purple-red, lilac-red, or dark purple tones.
Flowering occurs in July-August. The variety possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 4, and resistance to diseases and pests. The plant is used for group plantings, mixed borders, container gardening, and landscaping of coastal zones, and the inflorescences are suitable for cutting.
