Almamono is a breeding subject obtained using a male sterility system. The creation of the variety involved crossing the source material with diploid white pollinators of the POLYPAST line.
The roots of this variety are characterized by a white color. The variety is included in the collections of genetic resources of the genus Beta and is used for research purposes, in particular for studying seed viability and in further breeding programs.
