Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 100 to 150 cm. The leaves are large, oval-acuminate, with a cordate base and wavy edge, forming a dense rosette. The upper side of the leaf is dark brownish-green, which acquires purple-red shades by autumn.

The inflorescences are in the form of long narrow spikes. The buds are dark red, and the opened flowers have a pink hue. The variety is suitable for cutting and is also used in ornamental gardening for planting in borders and groups with perennials and grasses.

The plant is winter-hardy and undemanding in care, performing well in sunny or semi-shaded locations with normal or moist humus soil. It is a honey plant that attracts bees, bumblebees, and butterflies.
